God D*** It, Nader *again*?

A quick diary.  Not sure how important it'll be.  Ralph is likely to announce on Meet The Press again on Sunday, just as he did in 2000 and 2004.  Just heard this on Progressive Radio KPHX.  

What effect will that have on things THIS time?  I guess it depends on whether people think Barack Obama is the same as John McCain.  I'm more likely to not dismiss the notion that Dems and Reps are the same in fundamental ways (i.e. corporatists), but my take is that a Nader candidacy will not suck out the air from Mr. Obama's change candidacy, whether or not his policy statements are "progressive enough" or not.  He is far more charismatic than not only McCain, but Mr. Nader as well.  While these are superficial issues, they are not trivial in American Politics.

I'd be interested in other folks better versed in the pure mechanics of politics weighing in below in the comments.
