The old movie Crazy People starred Dudley Moore as an advertising copywriter who decided to write only brutally honest slogans with no euphamisms.  An example of one of his campaigns:  "Metamucil: It Helps You Go to the Toilet."

Naturally he had to be committed to an asylum; that's not how you write advertising.

Suppose politicians, past and present, had their ad writers go insane like this.  What kind of ads would you see?
