Just a poll

Wed Mar 05, 2008 at 02:40:35 PM PDT

No real diary, just a poll.  I hope to get 50 responses by the time I slide of the bottom of the New Diary list.

V.E. Day vs D-Day

Sat Feb 23, 2008 at 12:28:15 PM PDT

I'm attacking Obama in the hope that it will make him stronger.  I want Obama to win.

Yes, I recognize the irony of preaching cooperation and going on the attack myself.  However, attacks on Obama don't seem to help Hillary.  Maybe these words will help Obama supporters craft a message to peel off the "softer" targets among the Clinton supporters.

Obama promises change, but let's look at what won't change in 2009.

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Obama

Tue Feb 19, 2008 at 02:02:04 PM PDT

Tips to Dr. Strangelove for the title.

First of all, I was not a Clinton supporter.  Clinton was my safety candidate; someone who I felt (feel) comfortable with as President even though she was not my first choice.  I was an Edwards’s man myself.  I have only recently joined the Obama fold.  I want to share how I was converted in the hopes that I can cut through the bitterness and maybe convert someone else.

No, I’m not clairvoyant.  I am projecting my beliefs onto others.  When you attack me in the comments, please bear this in mind.  Also, please defend your own beliefs instead of attacking your opponents.  I’m tired of the bitterness and hyperbole.  Before you post, think about whether your comment is phrased in a way that will help the eventual nominee win in November no matter who it is.  If it isn’t, then take some time and re-write.  Both candidates are better than McCain even at their respective worst.

More below the fold.

How to lose in 2008

Sun Feb 17, 2008 at 02:19:03 PM PDT

Thirty-three states and the District of Colombia and several territories have voted so far.  I don't have actual number of voter results for the territories, Nevada and Maine, but over 21 million people voted a Democratic ticket.

Guess what.  Over half of them did not vote for you.

Republicans (only think they) Like Obama

Sat Feb 02, 2008 at 01:58:31 PM PDT

This is NOT an Obama smear.  It is an anti-Republican smear.  It was going to be a comment in a recent "Republicans Like Obama, Too" diary, but I just had too much to say.  And its all opinion.  Deal.

Republicans hate Hillary with a passion because their leaders have told them to hate the Clintons for 16 years.  This hate is built upon years of lies, innuendo, scape-goating, cheap shots, misrepresentation, bigotry (Bill was the first "first black President" since Harding), and religious intolerance.

The Republican noise machine has not yet turned its guns on Obama.
